So here it is: 1/2 cup chives biscuit recipe: (this recipe was adapted from this blog)
2 cups organic flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
8 Tbs (1 stick) butter, cut into small pieces
2 cups sharp cheddar, grated
½ cup chives, minced
Fresh black pepper
1 cup buttermilk (*)
Preheat the oven to 420 degrees.
Mix butter + flour + salt + baking powder. I used a food processor for that. Chop a few times until just combined and crumbly. Dump everything in a bowl and mix with the rest of the ingredients.
* To make buttermilk, if you don't have any on hand, just mix 1 tbsp white vinegar with 1 cup of milk and let it sit for a min.
Divide into 12 balls and drop them onto a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Make sure you don't over cook them. Nothing worst than hard and dried up biscuits.
Mine turned out so moist and yummy. The massive amount of cheese really makes a difference.
Enjoyed them with a cup of raw milk, bacon and hard boiled eggs.
